Services

CHE serves as an inter-mediation space and a clearinghouse, and provides the space, the tools, the incentive and opportunities that allow the development of collective reflections and undertakings on issues member organizations, alone, cannot resolve. Organizational members recognize the importance of unity in building communities. CHE is not a direct service provider organization.  Its actions are geared toward its member associations, for which it:

1. Manages a referral service and facilitate and maintain inter-organizational collaboration and coordination among Haitian service providers.
2. Develops partnerships with founders, Private and Public institutions that focus on immigrant community advancement.
3. Facilitates group processes that allow on going reflections, discussions, dialogues and collective actions;
4. Facilitates the sharing of information about community events, issues and best practices.
5. Facilitates the transfer of competences through experience-sharing, trainings and consultations;
6. Raises public-awareness through researches, public campaigns, community dialogues, conferences, public forums and symposiums

Members are engaged in fostering and nurturing a practice of collaboration and cooperation thru:

1. Self-Awareness for Social Changes training workshops that critically examine and improve cultural values that hinder collaborative works.
2. Training on Group Discussion and the Technology of Participation. to create shared visions, make decisions by consensus and craft common action plan;
3. Community forums and symposiums to a) learn from other communities' in their quest for Civic Participation taking,

Referral

C.H.E.referral services  connects clients' specific needs to available resources/services. It includes research available services, identify, assess and respond to community members' needs by connecting to a supportive network.

Advocacy

The Advocacy Program focuses on social justice and fairness in relation to community issues and untapped services. C.H.E provides technical assistance to increase organizational capacities to collectivfly advocate.
