2. Have a working board
3. Maintain governance and standards that regulate good business practices;
4. Collaborate and combine efforts to improve the quality of lifes
If your organization does not meet these requirements, CHE will work with you or refer you to other organizations to help you develop and sustain your capacity.

Haitian-American Leadership Council (HALEC) is a 501 c4 organization, which focuses on civic education, civic involvement, voters’ education and registration. Its goals are to help improve social conditions, expand and defend the legal rights of Haitian immigrants by encouraging civic participation in the American democracy. The Society for Haitian Research Inc. (SHR) is a 501 © 3 community based organization, that seeks to address the need of the Haitian community in Brooklyn through direct services (immigration services, GED/ESL and cultural programs) immigration services) and public education. SHR runs weekly radio talk shows on Tuesdays from 8 to 9pm on WNYE (91.5 FM), as a medium to air pertinent information on immigration law, health and youth related issues.
